Whatup!

So this weekend, there’s the Public Interest Environmental Law Conference up in Eugene, OR, at the University of Oregon School of Law. Luckily they have a student registration price of $20 (actually sliding scale $20-$50, “suggested donation”), else, aye..! It’ll be a nice followup to my heady Environmental Law class I took oh so many years ago at DeAnza College. I think I can grab a ride with Zach the LGA, and hopefully can crash at a hotel with HSU’s Natural Resources Club, as they are also attending, and possibly getting funded from our AS.
huh, I just looked up the URL to make sure it was right, and it says their fees are ~$35/semester!! DeAnza was $6/quarter? They had a ~$1 million/yr budget, and didn’t complain about how fees are so low, or that’s why they have so little funding.. how lame! (So DeAnza’s ASB had ~$18/yr, HSU’s Associated Students has ~$70. HSU has 3x the amount per student, with a 1/3 of the students, which means, the same amount of money!!) WEIRD.. I’ll think more about this later though..
