Viva la Mexico?

So..
ELaw updates to come, but in the meantime while there many an idea came to me.
One from my friend Pat McAuley (aka the mack) from Green Campus, who is planning on going to Parras Mexico, a desert Oasis, as part of a semi-exchange program this Summer. It’s 16 units in ~3 months, with 8 in Spanish, and 8 in Appropriate Tech, which very well may turn out to be the concentration that I choose to pursue.
It’s also $3700, not including transport. Aye!
Lonny Graham is teaching the AT classes (They’re ENGR 114, 308, and a projects one).
Lonny’s website simply links to what I was going to link to anyways, so! It’s called the Parras Mexico Program, as it’s held in the desert oasis of Parras!
Pat also recommended that I treasure at least one of those Engineering classes, which I wouldn’t be able to do in an “intensive” summer session (this’ll be his second time taking 114 & 308, in fact.)
So.. the math’s not exactly adding up, which means I have to count the experiential value of the thing. Refresh my Spanish (mi Espanol), learn some cool stuff about a new locale, further expand my environmental understandings and awareness outside of the U.S., take classes with Lonny–since if all part-timers get laid off he’d be gone and he’s supposedly pretty cool, and.. I’m sure there’s others, in addition to the general catch-all of “more adventure!” but! That’s all from me for now! -Ajay
