wait, that sounds lame.

Anywho, yes, it’s the illustrious spring break time! I’ve spent wholly too much time on the computer too, first TheFaceBook, then myCult, err, Space. Now I just imported all of my 2005 Pictures, all Humboldt State-related in some way.

So now I think I should be done with that. I need to call Dee Regev tomorrow to visit her, she’s such a sweetheart after all. (And as a common friend said, she has more balls than him and most guys! ;^)

I was hoping to visit my old roommate, Justin Hess, in Sacramento tomorrow, but! Guess it’s hard to do such things on a “work night, so!

Instead.. I’m going to go visit Agnes Vianzon, and probably see Randy Deputy too (he was on my crew at Del Norte) there.
As we go skiing.. (or snowboarding? Maybe not, after my friend Jessica broke her wrist, and now Aggie broke her arm.. aye!)

At Mammoth!

Hope to visit Jessica Howard and Lacy Ferguson and maybe Patrick & Anastassia Jimenez and maybe even Melissa Sutton (if John Klinger’s not too busy with her) in Chico afterwards.. we’ll see!

Speaking of evil machines, my mom has this .. Pentium-III (Coppermine), that.. yeah..
So I was trying to use it, and the shit keeps crashing! And I’m running Linux, mind you, so that’s actually abnormal. I eventually got around to check stuff out (after having configured lm-sensors properly), in xsensors, and boy! temp3, whatever the hell that is, is hot! Main temp, ~100oF, CPU ~130oF, but this last time.. it’s like.. Farenheit 457 or something! That’s when stuff spontaneously combusts, ya know?! That’s crazy, that can’t be right. IT’d explain the crashes though.. hrmm!!

And speaking of crazy computers, after a power outage “here” (at Hurricane Electric, where this message is brought to you from), the main HD crashed, so we reinstalled, this time with RHEL instead of Slackware (cuz it was a pain last time), and now all my stuff (email+web) is all working fine, in record time compared to how long it took me last time.. but aye, that was fearsome, being down for 3 days, right before I was thinking would be a good time to do a backup!
ya know? Anywho.. I’m rambling/ranting now, so I’m off..

Ohh, and we had a little script kiddie.. we thought he was a legit cracker, but he just took advantage of an awstats hole he found on the server. Ack. whatever/lamer. he was running an irc server. Is that like some sort of fun or something? Yeah, well, I used to run irc DCC Bots on Davis’s servers, so maybe it is fun.. hrmm.. eh, who knows. It freaked us the hell out though, that’s for sure! Luckily it was easy to track down (in the Apache logs, which, if they’re still around, could be an interesting read..)
